We are a startup that creates solutions for social media in mobile devices. Our customers are mobile operators, social media service providers and system integrators. We also release betas and demos for the general public to try out and give us feedback. Our solutions aim to maximize social media service discoverability, adoption and frequent use by regular, non-tech-savvy users in mobile devices.
What is furtiv?

What are the furtiv plug-ins for Nokia Share Online?
We aim to make mobile social media as simple as possible. Our solution is transparent to the end user. We do not try to force yet another layer of complexity between the user and the social networks:
•There is no need to create an account, just use your existing Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc credentials
•There is no app to install, just settings to configure your phone to use our solution
•No need to understand and configure a complicated aggregation/syndication/gateway service, link multiple accounts in different services, setup default upload services, user preferences, etc
•You can upload photos and videos to the services that you use directly from the Camera and Gallery, no need to open a separate app to start sharing
•Unlike some existing solutions that integrate with Share Online, we use the Atom Publishing Protocol version 1.0 which provides:
How is this different from similar media gateway services that also work with my Nokia phone?
•50% more efficient uploads (saving bandwidth, battery life and potential data costs)
•Geotagging capability for images and videos, using GPS and cellular IDs
•Access to content feeds and notifications (see our beta solution for Twitter)
•Custom upload experience for each service. Since we are not an aggregator/syndicator/gateway, we can tailor the the upload options for each individual service: tags, privacy, location, image resizing, supported media types, etc.

How does the location feature work? How do I geotag media that I want to Share?
The home screen icons and notifications for Share Online are only supported by a limited number of devices: N78, N79, N82, N85, N86, N95, N96, 6220 classic, 6210 navigator. In other devices, the icons and notifications are visible only in the Photos or the Share Online apps.
Why can’t I see the Facebook/Twitter/YouTube/Picasa icon and notifications in the home screen of my phone?
furtiv does not store your photos or videos. We just make it easy for you to upload your media to your favorite service. furtiv never receives or stores your password. You sign-in directly in the service that you use (Facebook, YouTube, etc) and grant us permissions to upload to your account.
Does furtiv store my media? Do I have to give you my password?
In a real production environment these settings would be provisioned automatically so that the services would be ready for activation the first time a user turns on her phone. These settings can also be pushed over the air to devices already in use by consumers. We support several settings provisioning mechanisms for operators and service providers.
For convenience, we’ve also made available our plug-in on the Ovi Store.
Why do I have to go to a webpage to get settings for my phone? I think this is too complicated for a basic user.
